Outreach Ministry The Oneonta Church of Christ strives to serve our community in many ways. We hope to be a beacon of hope to any in our community who do not have a relationship with God. We attempt to reach out to our community in many ways. We mail a bi-monthly publication called "House to House" to all people in our local community. As we grow, we hope to expand our mailing list, and possible one day mail this publication to all households in Blount County. The OCOC publishes this paper in conjunction with the Jacksonville Church of Christ. To learn more about this publication, visit www.housetohouse.com. We also reach out to our community through various service projects. We have hosted blood drives, and regularly visit nursing homes in the community with the youth of our congregation. During the holidays, we provide "care baskets" for one nursing home, and we rotate which of the three local nursing homes receives these each year. On the fifth Sunday of each month, we sing at the Golden Living Center at 2:30 p.m. in their dining hall. We are always open to finding new ways we can be of better service to our community. |
